Lead star, Kevin Costner, was front and center in the 16-second teaser for Season 5 of Yellowstone that premiered at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. It might not have been much, but it all but guarantees that things will go from bad to worse starting on November 13. Much like most of the other upcoming big-budget shows, Yellowstone’s fifth season will be enjoying a much longer premiere at two hours. As the clip notes, “all will be revealed” in the upcoming season. What follows is a brief but meaty montage showing all of the show’s characters, both alive and dead. Yellowstone sees Costner star as John Dutton, a wealthy widow who owns the largest ranch in the United States. For four seasons, the series has centered around him and his family’s fight against anyone else who is interested in the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Yellowstone is one of the most-watched shows on any streaming platform and has already spawned three spin-offs, two of which are prequels. Paramount didn’t need to do much to boost hype for Yellowstone’s return but this wouldn’t hurt. Season 4 ended earlier this year and saw Kelly Reilley’s Beth find out how Wes Bentley’s Jamie is involved in all of the attempted murders of the Dutton family. Even if Beth did eventually get her revenge, getting in the good graces of John, we’re pretty sure this tit-for-tat isn’t ending anytime soon. It’s believed that Season 5 will see billionaires looking to buy as much land as possible come into play, which feels a lot like what’s happening all over the United States these days. Yellowstone’s fifth season will be the series’ longest yet with 14 episodes. Fans can expect to see more of Yellowstone and the rest of the budding universe later this year as 1923 makes its debut in December.
