Whether you’re a car buff or can’t wait to dress V up in the best kicks, there’s plenty here for you. Four main visual styles define Night City and the surrounding badlands in Cyberpunk 2077. Kitsch is the prevalent aesthetic among the common people, dominated by garish colors, chrome, fashionable cyberware - all on a budget. This style is very loud, but also cheap. In the most run down areas of Night City, you’ll mostly see the Entropy style, which is more like the lack of style - everything is bare, old, low-tech, scavenged together using the absolute minimum resources. In the city center dominated by the Corporations, you’ll see the clean, minimalist trappings of Neomilitarism, a super-functional style which doesn’t bother too much with looks. Finally, in the exclusive opulence of Westbrook, the 1% dresses in Neo-Kitsch - adopting the flashy colors and eye catching aesthetic of Kitsch, but this time backed by fortunes. Since Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG, you can define V with any of these styles - if you have the money for it - and you can even mix and match styles across different clothing items and cyberware. On the vehicle side of things, the behind the scenes footage isn’t all we’ve got - the 4th episode of Night City Wire gave a veritable info dump regarding how vehicles will work in the game. Broken down into five classes - economy, executive, heavy duty, sports and hypercar - various cars each have different stats and strengths, sporting unique exterior and interior designs. The latter are fully visible and interactive when driving in first person view, but a third person view is available too. The team put a huge amount of effort into recording realistic and authentic vehicle sounds, even for Johnny Silverhand’s iconic original Porsche 811. That car will be a century old by 2077, but with a few key upgrades - nothing to ruin the classic design, though - it can match the horsepower of any newfangled ride. Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on the 10th of December, 2020.
