This is in line with recent reports claiming that Holland has already signed on for another Spider-Man trilogy. If we assume that Spider-Man 4 takes at least a year to film and to do reshoots for, as well as post-production work, then it’ll be ready to premiere in 2025. This might be a long time but it would also put it right after the launch of Deadpool 3 and Daredevil: Born Again. In the comic books, Spider-Man has close ties with both Deadpool and Daredevil, more so with the latter. Now that he’s gone incognito as a nameless superhero, Tom Holland’s take on the fan-favorite webhead could use a friend or two. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is the perfect guy to have Peter Parker’s back in the MCU, especially since Kevin Feige once said last year that both Daredevil and Spider-Man will lead the MCU’s “street-level heroes.” Besides, adding Spider-Man 4 to the same year that films like Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, Blade, and Deadpool 3, come out, makes little to no sense. For now, we can file this rumor in the “take with a grain of salt” cabinet. If you’re jonesing for more Spider-Man content, 2023 and 2024 have got you covered. Even though Tom Holland might not be swinging back anytime soon, Sony’s got plenty of Spider-Man to go around for everyone. Later this year, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will premiere on June 2 with its sequel, Beyond the Spider-Verse, coming out on March 29, 2024. In between, gamers can look forward to playing as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the same go when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes out for the PlayStation 5 later this year.
