According to Sony’s latest announcement, the PSVR 2 will hit store shelves starting February 22, 2023. This is in line with the company’s earlier claims about its release. On top of the release date, Sony has confirmed the price of the PSVR 2 and it’s not cheap. Here’s a breakdown of the PlayStation VR 2 pricing:

PlayStation VR2 $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99 / ¥74,980 SRP w/ tax for GBP, EUR, and JPY Comes with the PSVR2 headset, PSVR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones

PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle $599.99 / €649.99 / £569.99 / ¥79,980 SRP w/ tax for GBP, EUR, and JPY Comes with digital code for Horizon Call of the Mountain, PSVR2 headset, PSVR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones

With a starting price of $550, the PlayStation VR 2 isn’t cheap. If you factor in the price of the price hiked PlayStation 5, you’ll need to shell out more than $1,000 to enjoy a next-gen VR experience on PlayStation. If it’s any consolation, Sony will reportedly have two million units ready to be shipped. The only question now is, are people going to bite? If you’re interested in buying the PSVR2, you can shop directly from PlayStation and place your preorder starting on November 15. But, if you insist, you can also register your preorder today, November 2. Sony promises to reveal more about the individual PSVR2 games, including Horizon Call of the Mountain, at a later date.
