But, what makes this new Black Adam footage different is that it teases a connection with the rest of the DCEU by way of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and even Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
This new Black Adam trailer should put an end to all speculation that the film will address the Justice League. Even though Black Adam will mainly contend with the Justice Society of America, it is highly likely that it will connect with modern-day DCEU films, possibly in the post-credits scene. Some even speculate that Black Adam will take place after the events of Peacemaker following an easter egg in Episode 4 of Peacemaker. In “The Choad Less Traveled”, Vigilante plots to get himself locked behind bars to get closer to Peacemaker’s father in prison to assassinate him. In one of the scenes, a security guard is on his break and reading a newspaper where we’re given a glimpse of an article stating that “Intergang” has seized power in the nation of Kahndaq. As the savior and protector of Kahndaq, Black Adam will have a thing or two to say about this. Intergang might even be the group of soldiers that falls victim to the Kahndaq ruler at the onset of the first ever trailer of Black Adam. If we go along this line of thinking, the JSA and Justice League could technically exist in the same timeline together. For all we know, the Justice League could’ve been off-world during the events of Black Adam. This would explain the rumors that Henry Cavill’s Superman will appear in the post-credits scene that hint at a potential showdown between the two giants. Speculation aside, it’s best to enjoy the appearance of the JSA in Black Adam. So far, fans are loving the JSA. Pierce Brosnan’s Dr. Fate, in particular, has quickly become a fan favorite.
