Perhaps due to the nostalgia factor, the upcoming beat ’em up video game has earned its fair share of excited fans. Unfortunately, neither Tribute Games nor Dotemu has revealed when Shredder’s Revenge might come out outside of a mid-2022 release window. But, if we believe the sightings on the PlayStation Database, the game could come out in a few weeks’ time. According to a leaked listing from the PlayStation Database, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge might launch on June 16.

But, at the same time, there’s a chance that it’s real. The good news here is that there’s at least three big video game showcases between now and then. If it’s true, then we might see the game pop up in one of the events along with a new trailer and release date. The first of the said exhibitions is the State of Play for June 2. The next one is Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest on June 9. Finally, there’s the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase on June 12. With only two weeks to go at most until June 16, all we can do now is to wait and see if the developers drop news about the upcoming retro-gameplay title soon. TMNT more than deserves to return to the mainstream spotlight. With so many 80s and 90s hits coming back to the foray, there’s enough room for Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello, as well as the rest of the gang. More importantly, we’re glad to know that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is in such good hands. Dotemu has a reputation for bringing back retro games like Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap and Streets of Rage 4.
