Apparently, the unreleased shooter now goes by the name of Rainbow Six Parasite after being previously referred to as Rainbow Six Quarantine. Unsurprisingly, the PC requirements are much higher compared to 2015’s Rainbow Six Siege. However, most players with a decent gaming PC should have no problems playing it once it’s launched. Scroll down below to learn more about the Rainbow Six Parasite PC requirements.

What Are The Rainbow Six Parasite PC Requirements?

According to the leaks, the technical test version of Rainbow Six Parasite requires at least 60GB of free storage space and a Windows 10 operating system. Ubisoft also listed relatively modest models of processors or CPUs as its minimum requirements with AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and intel i5-4460 being enough to run the game. However, don’t expect to be able to run the game with even the most advanced integrated graphics. According to Ubisoft, you’ll need at least an Nvidia GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon R9 290x to run Rainbow Six Parasite. Again, these are just minimum specs. Ubisoft recommends that your PC at least have an AMD Ryzen 5 1500x or an Intel i7-4790K processor with 16GB of DDR3/DDR4 RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 580 or an Nvidia GTX 1660Ti to run the game smoothly. We’d also like to remind you that these PC requirements can change. The final build might have higher requirements, although there is also the possibility that the requirements will be lower. Given the higher recommended PC requirements, we’re hoping for the latter. The current state of the market makes it difficult to upgrade to a decent graphics card like an AMD Radeon RX 580 or an Nvidia GTX 1660Ti at their suggested retail prices due to how miners have hoarded similarly-specced and better graphics cards.

When Is The Rainbow Six Parasite Release Date?

To date, Ubisoft has delayed Rainbow Six Parasite twice. First, from a 2020 release date alongside other Ubisoft titles like Gods & Monsters (later released as Immortals: Fenyx Rising) and Watch Dogs Legion. Ubisoft then postponed the game for a second time, as well as Far Cry 6, due to challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic. With that said, Ubisoft seems intent on launching the game in September 2021 and the ongoing technical test helps prove that this is the case. Hopefully, before then, we’ll also get a chance to get to know more about Rainbow Six Parasite. So far, the only thing we have to go on is that this was based on the limited-time Outbreak event for Rainbow Six Siege. Ubisoft also released a gameplay and teaser trailer in 2019. But, other than those, Ubisoft has yet to receive any recent or updated footage that actually showcases the game in its current state. In other news, Rainbow Six Siege recently kicked off its Y6S1 update that added new features into the game. This includes Operation Crimson Heist, a new operator, and other changes to existing maps, as well as operators, among many others.
