In addition to the games that Sony just listed, this year will also see the release of several other third-party titles as well like Atomic Heart, Diablo 4, Like a Dragon: Ishin! and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Unfortunately, Sony’s list is bad news for Final Fantasy fans. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was confirmed for Winter 2023 last year and it looks like the highly anticipated PS5 exclusive will be out earlier next year and not for the holiday season. If you think about it, it makes sense. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will likely take Sony’s usual slot October/November slot later this year while the next Final Fantasy 7 game in the presumed trilogy will be available to play around February next year. In any case, PlayStation fans won’t be left wanting more. Keep in mind that the Silent Hill 2 remake is also a PS5 exclusive and it’s entered the final stages of development. It might be ready later this year. Finally, don’t forget, we’re still waiting for word on the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid remake.
