Two months later, it appears that Sony has another reveal-packed showcase planned. According to Shpeshal Nick, Sony is planning a showcase in August. However, the industry insider adds that Sony could delay the event to September. Either way, the reveal does line up with Sony’s relatively packed schedule for later this year.
— Nick (@Shpeshal_Nick) August 1, 2022 Except for Marvel’s Spider-Man, which will be available on the PC starting on August 12, we still don’t know when the PC ports of The Last of Us Part 1, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, as well as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are coming. In addition to this, we’re expecting to hear Sony make the PC ports of Returnal and Sackboy: A Big Adventure official. Finally, we’re long overdue more footage of God of War: Ragnarok, so there’s that as well.

Sony has scheduled the fan-favorite event every September for the past two years. Besides, the latest earnings call didn’t exactly paint a pretty picture for Sony. Also, The Last of Us Part 1 is getting a lot of negative press, with some calling the game a cash grab despite the developers insisting that it’s not. If nothing else, Sony needs to make its fanbase and investors happy before the company’s next earnings report. Speaking of Sony, the console manufacturer finally put an end to the lifecycle of the PS4. Also, while Sony is refusing to say no to a potential PS5 price hike, the company promised to have more PS5 units available in time for the holiday season.
