Over the years, hardcore gamers have taken to the Nurburgring to challenge themselves. For example, Drew Hanslow drove 200 laps around the Nurburgring in 27 hours last year to raise money for the charity, Speed of Sight. Another YouTuber, Super GT, did a similar thing a while back as well. But, while these players often had a goal in mind, ‘firefox_gaming’ doesn’t. The Redditor went 200 laps around the 24-hour layout of Nurburgring. Their reason? They had “too much free time.” ‘firefox_gaming’ added that if their post on Reddit gets 100 upvotes, they’ll do it again, which looks like it will be happening soon if they’re willing to put their money where their mouth is. For their efforts, they received a paltry 42,000 credits from the race and 5,000 from the daily workout roulette. ‘firefox_gaming’ is definitely do this out of love of driving… or something else!
According to ‘firefox_gaming’, they managed to keep going for so long due to “energy drinks” and that they took breaks to the bathroom and food. ‘firefox_gaming’ revealed that they drove an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Gr.4. When asked about their best laps, they added that they were “the happiest at lap 200” and thought it was impossible to achieve what they set out to do “around lap 60” and that they started falling asleep at “around lap 110,” which might have resulted in their worst-timed lap because they crashed. Speaking of Gran Turismo 7, Polyphony is shifting gears and making changes to the game due to the massive backlash following the launch. The first major update came in early April while a more recent patch before April ended added a new car and layout. The current state of Gran Turismo 7 is still far from ideal, but it’s in a much better place right now than before.
