There has always been a long-standing uncertainty when choosing between whether to play multiplayer or the campaign on a Call of Duty game launch day. The indecisiveness comes from the urge to rank up and unlock all the weapons to utilize in multiplayer, and to finish the campaign to learn about the story. Those who manage to fight the urge to jump into multiplayer mode finish the campaign before others at the cost of ranking up late in multiplayer mode. Now, this constant battle between the two choices can finally end as Activision is granting early access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - almost a week before the global release of the game. Fans who have ordered the digital version of the game can play the campaign early and then be ready to get into the multiplayer action on launch day. This ensures equal footing and starting grounds for every player. Today’s announcement came with a brand new campaign trailer, which shows off some beautiful skyscrapers and crisp, clear details. Moreover, much like the previous releases, fans will also get to try out the beta version of the game in September. As per Activision’s exclusivity deal with Sony, PlayStation players who pre-ordered the game can try the beta on September 16, 2022. PC and Xbox players who pre-ordered the game can join the party on September 22, 2022. Whether pre-ordered or not, the rest of us can, finally, then play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 over the weekend. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on October 28, 2022. While we’re on the topic of releases, it seems a new leak might have revealed the release date of Warzone 2.
