According to the Twitter user, Rasheeda Smith, she was shocked to receive a God of War: Ragnarok PlayStation 5 bundle instead of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PS5 bundle.
— Rasheeda Smith (@RasheedaASmith) October 31, 2022 God of War: Ragnarok is easily the most leaked game in recent memory. It’s no longer just reviewers who got an early copy of the game that’s leaking the plot of the game, but also actual gamers who received physical retail discs by mistake. It’s come to a point that Santa Monica Studio had to plead with gamers to stop spreading information online and to avoid the internet in the meantime. Gamers aren’t supposed to receive their God of War: Ragnarok PS5 bundle until November 9, the same day the game comes out. The fact that this happened after ordering directly from PlayStation is emblematic of a larger issue. The good news is the gamer isn’t open to using the PS5 bundle to her advantage. As other users quickly jumped on the reveal and told her to sell the console to eager buyers for a markup, Smith declined and said she doesn’t “believe in scalping. Ever.” Smith added that she’s not the one who owns the console as she just ordered it for someone else. She’ll leave the decision on what to do about the console to the actual owner. If they report it to Sony, they’ll probably have to send it back and wait for a replacement. But, since that’s too much hassle, we’re hoping that Sony has a more convenient solution for the aggrieved party. Having said that, Smith and the owner of the PS5 bundle won’t be able to play God of War: Ragnarok before November 9 anyway. Unlike the physical copies that are already out in the world, the one included in the God of War: Ragnarok PS5 bundle is just a digital code. This means that it won’t unlock until launch date on November 9. Since it doesn’t sport a custom design, the bundle doesn’t hold much value outside of bragging rights.
