What made the recent giveaway quite the surprise though, was that not just one game was given away, but two. In addition to For the King, which Epic had already revealed a week earlier, they decided to surprise fans with another free title in the form of Metro: Last Light Redux. For the King is one of the more underrated titles released in the past decade. It puts a ragtag group of adventurers in a quest to try and save their kingdom and features traditional strategy gameplay with roguelike elements that can either be played solo or with friends. It’s a must-play that will surely delight fans of titles in the genre, as well as Dungeons and Dragons fans. The other title, Metro: Last Light Redux, needs no introduction. A sequel to Metro 2033, which kicked off the franchise that featured a plot based on a novel of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro: Last Light Redux is a first person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. Here, players will have to traverse through the underground tunnels scattered all over the Moscow Metro with occasional above-ground visits. In addition to the original Metro: Last Light title, this version features gameplay and graphical improvements, as well as a bunch of new game modes. Both titles will be free on the Epic Games Store until February 11 followed by Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition.
