Reddick himself confirmed his return as Sylens, in what many presume is DLC content for Horizon Forbidden West, after he uploaded a video during an ongoing session. Reddick has since deleted the video but someone on Reddit got a copy for everyone else to see. This move implies that Reddick didn’t intend to leak the upcoming expansion or DLC content for Horizon Forbidden West.
Reddick’s character, Sylens, plays a key role in the Horizon franchise. He is Aloy’s mysterious ally and mentor. The second game shed more light into Sylens’ checkered past and how he’s manipulated his way to achieve his goals. However, by the end of the sequel, Sylens appears to have had a change of heart. He’s now on Earth to help Aloy against Nemesis. Considering that Forbidden West ended with a cliffhanger, it makes sense to release a form of post-launch content if only to tide audiences over until the release of an inevitable third game. Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t confirmed the expansion yet. It’s also possible that Reddick did voice work for the game’s leaked PC port. As per the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak, the sequel was supposed to be headed to the PC last month. This didn’t happen, but given that the list has been mostly spot on so far, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before the PC port is confirmed. Hopefully, Sony will find a way to release the Forbidden West DLC that lets it enjoy the spotlight for a couple of weeks. Forbidden West still sold and reviewed well earlier this year, but Elden Ring eclipsed it. Speaking of Horizon, Sony has picked up the post-apocalyptic video game franchise for a live-action adaptation on Netflix. It’s believed that the show will explore the chain of events that ultimately led to the games. Finally, fans can look forward to playing Horizon Call of the Mountain on the PSVR2 early next year.
