As spotted by hawk-eyed fans, Cena posted a photo of Logan Paul and Jake Paul on his Instagram account. What’s most interesting is that the photo shows Logan Paul holding up a replica of the WWE Championship belt. This “confirms” that Cena is fighting against the elder Paul in Los Angeles in April. However, we shouldn’t rule out a potential 2v2 match with the Paul brothers teaming up to take on John Cena and a still-unnamed partner. Regardless of which Paul the 16-time world champion is fighting, it’s clear that it will happen at WrestleMania 39. It doesn’t make sense to make Cena fight any earlier than that. Both Cena and Paul are proven draws for the WWE. The former was the face of the WWE and established himself as one of the greatest ever. In recent years, Cena has taken his acting chops to Hollywood. Cena is now one of the anchors of the DC Universe after starring in what’s easily been DC Studios’ best outing yet, Peacemaker. On the other hand, Paul is no stranger to being a celebrity albeit he’s more known for his notoriety over on the internet. Controversies aside, Paul proved last year that he belongs inside the WWE ring after challenging Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the WWE Crown Jewel in November.
It’d make sense for Paul and Cena to square up if only to see how big of a crowd it will draw. Triple H will want to make his mark with this year’s WrestleMania. Not to mention, both Paul and Cena have been building up to the matchup in the past few months, so it’s not like it’d come out of nowhere. Although we wouldn’t say no to the Paul brothers feuding with each other and one of them partnering with Cena at WrestleMania 39. If nothing else, this matchup will give WWE fans something positive to look forward to amidst the turmoil going on at the WWE.
