With Jakob now presumably working together with Dom as part of his much-memed family, it appears that the next film in the series, Fast & Furious 10, will see Cipher rope in a new accomplice in Jason Momoa. Jason Momoa’s involvement in F10 was confirmed a few months back and he was revealed to be playing the role of a villain in March. Now, Momoa dropped more details about his turn to the dark side in F10 with ET, where the Aquaman actor explained that he is going to share scenes with Charlize Theron and Vin Diesel. Specifically, Momoa mentioned that he’s excited that he’s working with Vin and Charlize, as well as the rest of the whole cast. Unfortunately, Momoa stopped short of talking more about his role in F10, but we do know that he’ll be playing as a “flamboyant bad boy”, so we’re curious to find out exactly how he’s going to take to it. Despite all the criticism, Fast and Furious has done an excellent job casting its villains. Nearly everyone that Dom and his family have gone up against has been memorable. Not to mention, the actors all seem to enjoy playing their parts. Even Idris Elba, who joined the series’ spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, worked well within the context of the Dwayne Johnson-led corner of the film’s universe. It will be interesting to see Momoa go back to playing a villain after seeing him cast as a protagonist for such a long time. 2021’s F9 was one of the biggest hits of the pandemic box office era, earning $721 million worldwide despite all the lockdowns and restrictions. The first half of the two-part sequel will look to take things further and go back to making at least a billion dollars at the global box office once it premieres in May 2023. Speaking of Fast and Furious, it appears that The Rock is never coming back. After Diesel publicly asked his former co-star to come back to end the series, The Rock declined to return and wants to get his time with the franchise over with after the second Hobbs & Shaw film.
