The most interesting part about Xbox consoles supporting Android apps is that this is the first time that we’ve heard about it. Even if the app did work, the description specifically states that it is for “testing purposes only”. With that said, the ability to use Android apps on Xbox consoles would be heaven-sent. At the moment, we can play Xbox games on Android and iOS phones, so it wouldn’t be far-fetched to think that Microsoft is planning on making it possible to do things the other way around. Unfortunately though, according to a Microsoft source that spoke to Android Authority, Microsoft isn’t planning on making Android apps accessible to Xbox consoles anytime soon - the text is just a placeholder. So, yeah. We apologize if we got your hopes high up about playing all of your favorite mobile games and other apps on the Xbox consoles. You’ll just have to wait for developers to port their apps over if you really want them on your consoles.
