Is Indiana Jones and Captain America coming to Vanguard?
Crossovers are no longer unusual these days. As soon as Epic Games and Fortnite opened the floodgates by welcoming just about anybody into their battle royale - Naruto is the latest to arrive in Fortnite - other shooters and games have followed suit. The next one to do this is Call of Duty: Vanguard, which, according to data miners, contains references to Indiana Jones and Captain America. ModenasHD, a known Call of Duty content creator, posted references to sets based on Captain America and Indiana Jones that they found in Vanguard, along with the artwork of what looks like a Captain America player card. Other leakers have since come forward and claimed that they’ve found similar files in Vanguard’s files. This has led many to believe that it’s only a matter of time before Activision confirms the upcoming crossover.

However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Indiana Jones and Captain America join Vanguard. Both aren’t just popular but are appropriate for the game’s period. Both Captain America and Indiana Jones’ backstories trace back to World War II where they each fought their own respective battles. Not to mention, Activision has proven before that they’re not afraid to bring in non-period-appropriate crossovers. Case in point, Frank the bunny (Donnie Darko) and Jigsaw (Saw) have both appeared in older Call of Duy games. What is more interesting here is if Disney will okay the inclusion of two iconic characters into a Call of Duty game. Disney has insisted on maintaining its family-friendly image before. Adding Indiana Jones and Captain America to Call of Duty, a game that’s been a subject of controversy before due to gun violence, is anything but. Some are also speculating that it’s not the characters themselves that will appear in Vanguard. Instead, Activision is going to bring in their trademark weapons, the round shield for Captain America and the whip for Indiana Jones.
