Whether or not this is intentional is not something we can say at this point. However, a recent leak seems to suggest that Halo Infinite is releasing sooner rather than later.
Will Halo Infinite Release in 2021?
Actor Verlon Roberts recently joined the Fadam and Friends podcast to discuss a lot of things, including his work on Halo Infinite. During the said podcast, Roberts talked a lot of things about the highly anticipated AAA title. He mentioned the game’s disappointing delay and that it was pushed back to November 2021. This is arguably the first time that most people have heard about a possible release date for Halo Infinite. Previously, all audiences had to go on was a Fall 2021 release window. Now, before you go doubting Roberts’ credibility, it’s important to know that he knows a lot about Halo Infinite because he plays a significant role in it. He confirmed in the podcast that he’s done motion capture work and voice acting for Spartan Griffin. This all but confirms the appearance of the character from the Shadows of Reach Halo novel. Roberts added that Griffin also did scenes with the actor of Master Chief. This means that the two Spartans will interact with each other at a certain point during the campaign of Halo Infinite.
Why a November Release Date Makes Sense for Halo Infinite
Assuming Roberts’ latest statements are correct, Halo Infinite will release this November 2021, which makes a lot of sense. Historically, Halo games have always aimed for a November release date. This means that Halo Infinite wouldn’t be doing anything out of the norm if it pushed back its release date to coincide with its predecessors. Unfortunately, if it is indeed true that Halo Infinite will release in November 2021, we’ll have to wait a while to find out officially and we can’t exactly say for sure when or how the developers or publishers will announce the release date. Will it come in the form of the Inside Infinite updates from 343? Will Microsoft use the planned online-only event, E3 2021, in June? Or will 343 or Microsoft hold their own showcase for upcoming Xbox Series X exclusives, including Halo Infinite? Regardless of how the release date of Halo Infinite is revealed, one thing that we can be sure of is that Microsoft and 343 will do it at a special event. The Halo franchise is one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry. Even if it hasn’t been as relevant in recent years, the name alone warrants a lot of attention. Considering that we know that Microsoft has a couple of game reveal events planned during the summertime, we may hear more about Halo Infinite in the next couple of months. As of the moment, all we know so far is that Halo Infinite will launch sometime in Fall 2021 for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
