What is included in this $5.99 monthly subscription? A monthly bonus of GTA$500,000, early access to certain new vehicles and a rotating selection of in-game properties and items that you can claim for free if you are a subscriber. These items and properties are generally selected from a pool that is necessary for accessing content added to the game with already released DLC.
To give players a better idea of what it exactly is that they will be paying for if they choose to subscribe to GTA+, Rockstar Games has revealed what exactly is included in the first month, which will run until April 27. This first round of bonuses includes the monthly GTA$500,000, a free Principe Deveste Eight alongside its Hao’s Special Works upgrade before public release and some liveries, the La Mesa Auto Shop or a free relocation there if you already own another, free LS Car Meet membership and reimbursement if you already paid for it, a free upgrade to the Aquarius yacht if you own one of the cheaper ones, some clothes, a bunch of vehicle customization items and cash buffs. Also included alongside this rotating selection of monthly goodies is access to additional Shark Cards - GTA Online’s take on microtransactions, allowing you to spend real money to get a lump sum of GTA$. Some new, subscriber-only cards are being added to digital stores which will have better rates of GTA$ for your real-world money. GTA+, and thus all of the benefits, are exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, continuing Rockstar’s inexplicably silly choice to cut PC out from new content and initiatives going forward, as if the platform’s constantly upgrading hardware doesn’t make it a contemporary to any console generation, every generation. In any case, the subscription service seems a bit light on benefits in comparison to the asking price - $6 is such an awkward number, too. Why not stick to the familiar and accepted $5? If you think like this is a deal worth taking, GTA+ launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S next week.
