Gotham Knights is one of two Warner Bros.’ DC Comics titles set to release later this year. It is not connected to Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham trilogy, which is actually getting a sequel in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
— Gotham Knights (@GothamKnights) March 9, 2022 WBIE first revealed Gotham Knights at the first DC FanDome event in 2020. The game features a Batman-less Bat-family with Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood all coming to Gotham following the apparent demise of their adoptive father. From what we’ve seen so far, the story of the game will revolve around the Court of Owls, a secretive organization that, in the comic books, has existed for centuries with roots that are embedded deep within Gotham City. As we might have already mentioned, Gotham Knights will support a co-op multiplayer campaign for two. In an earlier report, we speculated that Gotham Knights could be here soon. Unfortunately, it appears that we were mistaken. Although Gotham Knights’ October release date still falls within the 2022 release window, it spells bad news for WBIE’s other DC Comics game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is still technically set to launch this year, but the lack of information about the game in recent months suggests that it is going to be delayed as the studio would prefer to stagger its two big AAA comic book video games. At the moment, there are conflicting reports on Kill the Justice League. Whereas the studio’s official Brazilian Twitter account confirmed the game for 2022, a subsequent report from Bloomberg claims otherwise, with WarnerMedia CEO Jason Killar excluding the game in the studio’s lineup of releases for this year.
