Brave adventurers will receive the all-new dungeon DLC for free if they are subscribed to ESO Plus and it can be purchased outright for right about US$15 (1,500 crowns). What’s New in the Flames of Ambition DLC?
Flames of Ambition is the latest DLC to hit Elder Scrolls Online. It adds two new standalone dungeons to the game and will mark the start of the Gates of Oblivion storyline. It will reportedly also help set up the events for the upcoming June 1st expansion for ESO, the Blackwood Chapter. Scroll down below to find out more about all the new content from the Flames of Ambition DLC.
Black Drake Villa
The Black Drake Villa is home to monsters and monstrosities alike. Arsonists, as well as grotesque creatures, have since called this long-abandoned burned mansion that’s located somewhere in the Gold Coast. The all-new dungeon should pose quite a challenge to new players. It will come with its fair share of hidden passages and secrets for players to figure out themselves.
The Cauldron
From monsters and arsonists, we go to a cult that’s enslaving the local townsfolk residing nearby a forgotten mine somewhere east of Deshaan. The dungeon will take players deep into the hearts of the mine as they’ll confront Mehrunes Dagon’s minions with the help of Dremora Lyranth. Of the two new dungeons coming in the DLC, this one has the most connections with the storyline. It’ll see the appearance of numerous Deadric beasts and will help explain the start of the Gates of Oblivion storyline.
Update 29
Players don’t have to pay for everything that came with the latest DLC. Also included with the update is Update 29. The main highlight of Update 29 is the Champion Point system. In particular, how it’s been overhauled after they were first introduced in 2015 after players hit the game’s relatively low “soft cap”. The said overhaul will fix the lack of impact of the said Champion Points by giving players more choices within each constellation going forward. The update also adds a new Champion Bar that you can find up top. Its main purpose is to show powerful upgrades and unlockable buffs that you can unlock from each constellation. Basically, the goal here with the update is very simple. By overhauling the system, players are now incentivized to fine-tune their builds and make it more optimal instead of trying to be a jack of all trades of sorts.
