Before the year ended, Elden Ring proved that it was the GOTY in the eyes of many after it won the GOTY award in Los Angeles and in Japan, among others. But, while FromSoftware’s best-selling game was all but guaranteed to go down in the history books, nobody was probably expecting this. As of the time of writing, the tally gives Elden Ring a total of 324 GOTY awards, which is two more than how many The Last of Us Part II won in 2020. If nothing else, this should effectively guarantee that Bandai Namco and FromSoftware will circle back to make a sequel once all is said and done. For now, fans can look forward to at least one more DLC for Elden Ring later this year and maybe even next year. Also, the studio is expected to release Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon later this year, and the leaked images suggest that it’s going to be a very big game as well.
