Hawkeye’s post-snap past is coming back to haunt him
The new trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus TV show gives us a glimpse of what to expect from Hawkeye. It seems that Hawkeye’s enemies have all gathered in New York. Their goal? To stop Hawkeye from having a merry time with his family. However, while Clint is on the run, it appears that his Ronin persona has inspired someone to lay down some vigilante justice. Enter, Hailee Steinfield’s character, Kate Bishop. Right from the start, Bishop describes herself as the “world’s greatest archer”. Of course, it’s funny since she’s talking to someone who actually might just hold the fictional title. Thankfully, she does bring some semblance of skill to the table. It’s just apparent that she lacks finesse and training. This then sets up the entire premise of the series. Clint is going to spend the entire show trying to train Kate so that she can eventually take over the role of Hawkeye. In addition to Renner and Steinfield, Hawkeye is also going to star Florence Pugh. The 25-year-old British actress previously starred in Black Widow as Yelena Belova. If you stuck around for a while following the end of the Black Widow movie, you’ll know that Belova will also hunt down Clint. She believes that the S.H.I.E.L.D agent played a role in the death of her adoptive sister, Natasha Romanoff. Unfortunately, the trailer did not show Belova. This means that fans will just have to tune in starting on November 24 to find out when the former Black Widow will make an appearance. In the meantime, MCU fans can look forward to watching MCU’s first animated television series, What If…?. The show premiered on August 11 with standalone episodes. The TV series is all about exploring alternate realities and fun scenarios. What If…? will conclude on October 6 with its ninth episode. However, Disney has already confirmed that another nine-episode season is set to release in early 2022.
