It’s no small feat for any game to sell 10 million copies, especially one considered “niche” like Death Stranding. Hideo Kojima expressed excitement about the new milestone for his game, saying: Kojima is referring to Sam Porter Bridges in his tweet, who is the protagonist of Death Stranding. The mention of being loosely connected refers to the asynchronous cooperative multiplayer feature where players can leave behind supplies, structures, and messages that others can interact with. Norman Reedus, the actor who plays Sam Bridges, confirmed that a sequel to the best-selling game is coming. He confirmed a sequel on two different occasions. Death Stranding 2 may still be a PlayStation-exclusive title according to earlier reports. Kojima responded to the revelation made by Reedus by tweeting “Go to your private room, my friend”. The tweet contains a photo of the director holding a barbwire-covered baseball bat, seemingly indicating that Reedus would be punished for spoiling the sequel. Hideo Kojima is also reportedly working on an Xbox-exclusive title. There are speculations that it may be a game called Overdose. The actor Margaret Qualley reportedly lends her voice to the game that has already been leaked online. The director has also been teasing a project involving the Japanese-Australian actor Shioli Kutsuna. Kojima also mentioned actor Elle Fanning being involved in a project.
