Of course, just because there are technically no Cyberpunk 2077 classes, doesn’t mean you don’t have a template.
What are the Cyberpunk 2077 Classes?
The source material of Cyberpunk 2077 started with nine classes, or roles, and eventually expanded on it with subsequent releases. Cyberpunk 2077, however, has literally no classes whatsoever. Still, there were template builds released early on and beginners stand to benefit a lot from following examples of their builds, if only to help them figure out how to play through Cyberpunk 2077 better. With that said, the three Cyberpunk 2077 classes are: Techie, Solo, and Netrunner. Below is a quick rundown of each class.
Techie
Very little information about the Techie class for Cyberpunk 2077 was released. However, it seems that the class would have revolved around being an engineer of sorts in Cyberpunk 2077.
Solo
Fancy being a one-man-army? Well, look no further than the Solo class. In Cyberpunk 2077, playing Solo means using every weapon at your disposal to get the job done. Although some Solo characters in Cyberpunk 2077 use technology, it’s often for augmentation purposes. In particular, to improve strength so much to the point that you can literally rip doors open and pick up enemy gun turrets, as well as use enemies as human shields as you get closer and closer to turn your enemies black and blue.
Netrunner
Your Netrunner is essentially what equates to a hacker in Cyberpunk 2077, and they’re extremely useful in Night City where pretty much everyone and everything has been plugged into the internet at some capacity. If you need access to illegal information and goods, you go to a Netrunner. Playing as a Netrunner in Cyberpunk 2077 also means that you’re letting others do the dirty work for you. In particular, you’re using technology to your advantage in a way that you won’t really get your hands dirty anymore. Sabotage, espionage, and subtlety, are the traits of a Netrunner in Cyberpunk 2077. While no longer an official class, Netrunners are closely associated with certain gangs in the game. In particular, the Voodoo Boys.
What’s the Best Cyberpunk 2077 Class?
The best Cyberpunk 2077 class is what you make of it. The great thing about CDPR’s latest title is that you can literally create any class you want, and play whatever style you prefer. Of course, you can’t have all the skills and perks in Cyberpunk 2077. The amount of points that you can allot and levels you can earn is limited. This means that you’ll have to choose carefully. However, that’s also what makes Cyberpunk 2077 so replayable since you can always go back to the start and play through the game again, albeit differently the next time around.
