Square Enix views Marvel’s Avengers as a disappointment. However, regardless of what your stand on the game is, Crystal Dynamics deserves a lot of props. The studio has continued to work hard on a game that continues to be the subject of heavy criticism. Case in point, Spider-Man is finally coming to Marvel’s Avengers.
Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man design draws praise
Crystal Dynamics revealed last week that Spider-Man was joining Marvel’s Avengers. Unfortunately, the studio did not reveal more details about the webhead’s arrival. Instead, Crystal Dynamics merely teased that the wall-crawler is going to feature heavily in an upcoming live stream on November 12. Ahead of the aforementioned showcase, Crystal Dynamics decided to delight fans with official marketing material for Marvel’s Avengers’ With Great Power DLC.
Here’s your first look at Spider-Man before he comes to PS4 and PS5 on November 30! pic.twitter.com/9GKt9HQa8v — Marvel’s Avengers (@PlayAvengers) November 10, 2021 It’s hard to miss Spider-Man in the key art for the upcoming DLC campaign when he’s right there in the middle. It appears that Crystal Dynamics added its own touches to Spider-Man’s design in Marvel’s Avengers to make him look unique. In addition to the iconic red-and-blue color theme, Peter Parker’s suit in Marvel’s Avengers features a rather peculiar-looking spider as its chest insignia. Of course, because this is Marvel’s Avengers, we can expect more suits to arrive for Spider-Man going forward. In particular, fans are excited if Crystal Dynamics will find a way to bring in suits inspired by the MCU designs and from Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, along with other original concepts. Unfortunately, Spider-Man will be exclusive to PS4 and PS5 owners in Marvel’s Avengers at launch. It remains to be seen if this is going to change in the next few months.
