Twitter user and YouTuber Canadianguyeh found a listing from a UK game retailer selling Crash Team Rumble for 64 pounds on a presale discount. More importantly, the listing claims the title is due for release on April 4, 2023. This seems quite surprising given that many of the fans responding to his tweet have never heard of the retailer. And since the developers, Toys for Bob, haven’t uttered a word or released any sort of statement recently, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
- There is NO WAY its 3 months out
- It will likely NOT be that price But, with it showing up on retail sites, could we see a physical edition? Thats VERY possible! pic.twitter.com/H5dYcQYg8z — Canadian Guy Eh (@Canadianguyehh) January 17, 2023 For context, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released just 4 months after being announced, putting it in a nearly similar release trajectory as the rumored Crash Team Rumble release date. But that’s about where most of the similarities end, considering the previous title had its release date announced in the trailer. That’s not the case with Crash Team Rumble, with many more Twitter users pointing out the irregular price tag. While the game might debut earlier in the UK than in other markets, the price is not only substantially higher than other Crash Team releases and on par with big first-party games, but the number is also quite random.
— dylan matejak (@dylanmatejak) January 17, 2023 The team behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Toys for Bob, is also tapped for Crash Team Rumble production. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2023 and should be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Hogwarts Legacy is one of the other highly anticipated titles rumored to be coming to the PS5 in the near future, with the House of the Dead: Remake scheduled to be released on Friday. Sony is doubling down on their hardware department with Project Leonardo but the Nintendo Switch is still on top.
