Earlier this week, the Australian actor revealed that several genetic tests he took while working on the docuseries, Limitless, confirmed he has a higher likelihood of the debilitating disease compared to the average person. Hemsworth explained to Vanity Fair that this doesn’t mean he’s handing in his resignation. The revelation apparently “triggered” him to “take some time off” and he’s still finishing out the things he’s “contracted to do”. In the same interview, one of the MCU’s longest-tenured stars had also discussed his grandfather’s ongoing fight with Alzheimer’s. Marvel fans don’t have to worry too much. Hemsworth is still open to returning to play Thor in the future after he spends some time with his family in Australia. National Graphic’s Limitless series is a six-part TV show that sees Hemsworth test the limits of the human body. Disney had reportedly offered to remove the scenes where Hemsworth discovers but the actor refused, saying: Chris is one-third of the Hemsworth brothers who’ve been mainstays in Hollywood for the better part of the past two decades. His elder brother, Luke Hemsworth, most recently had a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder. As for Chris, he’s set to star in two upcoming movies, Furiosa and Extraction 2. The latter most recently finished filming and is expected to be out on the streaming giant next year. My concern was I just didn’t want to manipulate it and overdramatize it and make it into some sort of hokey grab at empathy or whatever for entertainment. Finally, Liam will take over as Geralt of Rivia after Henry Cavill stepped down from the role. It remains to be seen if the growing fan petition will be enough for Netflix to change its mind. As of the time of writing, Thor: Love and Thunder was the sixth-highest-grossing movie of the year at the global box office.
