The newest game mode being added to your list of options in Warzone is Trios Classic. This is pretty straight forward - the recently added Classic mode, which removes all additional features like the Gulag, cash, Buy Stations, contracts, loadouts and all respawning mechanics, but with squads of three. The new mode is available now, so call your buddies for a battle royale experience distilled down to the basics.
All previous game modes that were available prior to the update are still available, so Trios Classic hasn’t replaced anything outright. If you have been paying attention to the Activision blog, you’ll have noticed yet another Season 4 tease not so much hidden, but posted blatantly in the latest Rank Up report. Not long ago players were finally able to unlock the mystery of the Bunkers and the red access card, revealing loot and what looks like a nuke. Now, the blog post makes an in-universe mention of a prototype weapon found in a secure location under Verdansk, and addresses all Armistice Operators with a mission to retrieve it. That said, the prototype mentioned isn’t the nuke from the bunker, and is expressly described as an SMG.
This SMG can be found if you utilize codes gained from interacting with various phones throughout the in-game map. There have been interactable phones in Verdansk since launch, but until now they weren’t useful for anything. We’re guessing that the new SMG will be a featured weapon in Season 4, and its location might be tied to the bunkers as well. Keep an eye out for more Season 4 news from DownSights.
