Not only has the new map changed the pacing of the matches, but with the addition of new weapons, the meta has taken a complete shift. The Vanguard weapons have ten attachment slots which allow players to create a variety of weapons. Due to the ten attachment slot flexibility, it is now possible to convert assault rifles into close-range weapons and submachine guns into mid-range weapons. The possibilities are endless. While the nerfs and buffs are a part of the weapons in Warzone and Call of Duty in general, in this article we’ve covered some of the best weapons to use in Warzone with class setups. We’ve gone over both the long-range weapons and the close-range weapons. Caldera is a tropical island, and unlike Verdansk, it has a lot of open spaces. Most of the points of interest (POIs) have open areas with limited cover. For this reason, it is best to go with a long-range weapon as your primary and a close-range weapon as your secondary by using the Overkill perk. Players have been using this method even in Verdansk, but it is more critical now. You can always opt for a second loadout and get your Ghost perk. Sure, you can run a primary long-range weapon, but you will struggle in confined spaces and close-quarter combat (CQC) situations. Caldera might have open POIs, but it is not free of small buildings with tight interiors that call for a quick draw with CQC weapons such as SMGs and Shotguns. Here are the best weapons to run in Warzone Pacific.
Long Range Weapons
The following long-range setups focus on damage range but with little to no recoil in mind. The mobility on these long-range setups will not be the fastest, but it won’t be the slowest either.
STG 44
The first long-range weapon of choice is the STG. The STG is one of the most versatile weapons and can be used for every playstyle. Whether you’re an aggressive player or a more laidback player, the STG should always be your go-to weapon when it comes to Caldera.
The significance of the STG can be compared to that of the XM4 of the Black Ops Cold War or the M4A1 of Modern Warfare (2019). It is very easy to handle and allows new players to get right into the action, if they have the proper attachments. You can build the STG for maximum damage and range while ensuring it has virtually zero recoil. The following attachments provide you with the best STG class for Warzone. It has good damage, range, and almost no recoil. It is super easy to handle and deals excellent damage.
Muzzle: Mercury Silencer Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B Underrbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop Magazine: .30 Russian Short 45 Rounds Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Optic: Slate Reflector (or G16 2.5x) Stock: VDD 34S Weighted Perk 1: Vital Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Automaton
The Automaton is currently one of the most powerful assault rifles in Vanguard. It has a great rate of fire, and even with that phenomenal rate of fire, it has zero recoil with the attachments shown below.
Muzzle: MX Silencer Barrel: Anastasia Sniper Underrbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drum Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Rubber Grip Optic: G16 2.5x (or Slate Reflector) Stock: Anastasia Padded Perk 1: Tight Grip Perk 2: Fully Loaded
NZ-41
The NZ-41 became the first meta gun during season 1 of Warzone and Vanguard. It started as a ground loot and was slowly discovered as one of the most hard-hitting weapons in Warzone and Vanguard multiplayer. The following attachments make this a very low recoil weapon while retaining its high damage profile.
There’s only one downside to this weapon: a slow rate of fire. But, it can be countered by using the recoil booster as your muzzle attachment if you’re not too bothered about staying hidden in Warzone. But, we all know how critical it is to remain hidden in Warzone, especially when you have a lot more open areas in the new map, Caldera.
Muzzle: MX Silencer Barrel: Orbweaver 360mm BC Underrbarrel: Carver Foregrip (or m1941 Hand Stop) Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 50 Round Mags Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Rubber Grip Optic: G16 2.5x (or Slate Reflector) Stock: Orbweaver E Pack Perk 1: Brace Perk 2: Fully Loaded
BAR
The BAR is also a very hard-hitting gun similar to the NZ-41, but has a much slower rate of fire. It is even slower than the NZ-41, so it might be challenging for some to use. However, if you practice with this weapon and get the pattern down, you will be unstoppable. The gun already has very high recoil, so most of the attachments will assist in getting better accuracy and recoil reduction.
Muzzle: Mercury Silencer Barrel: CGC 30" XL Underrbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop Magazine: .50 BMG 40 Round Mags Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Polymer Grip Optic: G16 2.5x (or Slate Reflector) Stock: Chariot WR Perk 1: Acrobatic Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Cooper Carbine
The Cooper Carbine was first seen as one of the best ground loots in Caldera, but as more and more people discovered this weapon, it became a meta in the new Warzone Pacific. With the right attachments, this weapon shreds in Warzone. It is possibly one of the best assault rifles in Caldera. It also has a high rate of fire, giving you insane TTK.
Muzzle: Mercury Silencer Barrel: 22" Cooper Custom Underrbarrel: Carver Foregrip Magazine: 9mm 60 Rounds Drum Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Polymer Grip Optic: G16 2.5x (or Slate Reflector) Stock: Cooper Custom Padded Perk 1: Tight Grip Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Close Range Weapons
The following setups are for short to medium-ranged gunfights and CQC situations. The weapons listed here are some of the best new Vanguard SMGs, and they all shred in Warzone. We recommend the new PPSh, MP-40, or the Cooper Carbine. However, you’re not restricted to just these SMGs. Feel free to check out all of them and decide for yourself as they are equally as good. The close-ranged SMG builds listed below focus more on the mobility aspect of the class and accuracy. If you are an aggressive player and like to push players, these setups are exactly what you should be rocking in Warzone.
PPSh-41 (Vanguard)
The Vanguard edition PPSh is one of the best, if not the best, SMG in Warzone. It deals great damage and provides excellent mobility, allowing players to push enemies with complete confidence.
Muzzle: Mercury Silencer Barrel: Empress 140mm Rapid Underrbarrel: Carver Foregrip Magazine: 7.62mm Gorenko 71 Round Mags Ammunition: Hollow Point Rear Grip: Fabric Grip Optic: Slate Reflector Stock: ZAC Folding Perk 1: Fleet Perk 2: Quick
MP-40
The MP-40 is the definition of mobility and damage coupled together in both Vanguard multiplayer and Warzone. This is the second most used SMG (secondary) after the PPSh. The following class setup is the best for MP-40 in Warzone Caldera.
Muzzle: M1929 Silencer Barrel: Krausnick 317mm 04B Underrbarrel: Carver Foregrip Magazine: 9mm 64 Rounds Drum Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Polymer Grip Optic: Slate Reflector (or no optic as the iron sight is great on the MP-40) Stock: Krausnick 33M Folding Perk 1: Vital Perk 2: Quick
Cooper Carbin (SMG Build)
As stated earlier, with the ten attachment slots we get on the Vanguard weapons, the possibilities are endless. You can literally convert an AR into an SMG and an SMG into an AR with the proper attachments. This is precisely what we’re going to do with the Cooper Carbine. You’ve already seen the long-range build for this weapon. Here’s how you can modify it to clear out buildings and squad up close.
Muzzle: M1929 Silencer Barrel: 22" Cooper Custom Underrbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop Magazine: 9mm 60 Rounds Drum Ammunition: Compressed Rounds Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Optic: Slate Reflector Stock: Ragdoll C45 Skeletal Perk 1: Vital Perk 2: Fully Loaded
M1928
The M1928, also known as the “Tommy Gun,” is everyone’s favorite SMG in Warzone. There’s no better way to describe this weapon other than it’s a “feel good” weapon. You feel satisfied when using this weapon due to its almost non-existent recoil with proper attachments. On top of having low recoil, it is a great weapon for CQC situations. Here’s the best setup for Warzone Caldera.
Muzzle: M1929 Silencer (or F8 Stabilizer if you want even better recoil control & accuracy) Barrel: CGC 12" Cooling Underrbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop Magazine: .45 ACP 100 Round Drum Ammunition: Compressed Rounds Rear Grip: Polymer Grip Optic: Slate Reflector Stock: CGC Wire Grip Perk 1: Fleet (Or Vital if you want to swap mobility for more torso damage) Perk 2: Quick
Owen Gun
Finally, we have the Owen Gun. This gun might be a bit awkward to use at first because of how it is built and shaped. But, if you put on the right attachments, it can be an excellent substitute for your CQC engagements. Note that this build uses a barrel that removes the headshot bonus, but you get better overall body damage and limb damage in exchange. Thanks to this trade-off, the class setup is forgiving for players with a bad or an average aim.
Muzzle: M1929 Silencer Barrel: Gawain 188mm Shrouded Underrbarrel: Carver Foregrip Magazine: 8mm Kurz 60 Round Drum Ammunition: Lengthened Rear Grip: Polymer Grip Optic: Slate Reflector Stock: Removed Stock Perk 1: Acrobatic Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Give these setups a try, and let us know what you think about them in the comment section below. Feel free to leave any suggestions on how these class setups can be improved. As we are still in the early stages of Warzone and Vanguard integration, we can expect a lot of meta shifts in the coming seasons. We will be sure to put out more loadouts for both Vanguard multiplayer and Warzone Pacific.
