You can only access the following perks if you get your custom loadout from the Loadout Crate drop. You can choose up to three perks as usual. Also, choosing the specialist feature is useless for Warzone as it has no effect in it (it’s is only effective in Modern Warfare multiplayer). Let’s take a look at some of the perks you should have when playing COD: Warzone.
Perk 1 - Cold Blooded
The Cold Blooded perk is one of the most important perks in this game. It is essential in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, but plays an even more important role in battle royale. While you have this perk, you won’t be visible on enemy thermal optics, and spotting players before they spot you gives you a huge advantage over them. If you rush them first, then you get the element of surprize, which is invaluable. Another advantage of the Cold Blooded perk is that it makes you undetectable by enemy AI targeting systems. Even if the enemy player has the High Alert perk then their vision will not pulse if you see them outside of their vision.
Perk 2 - Ghost
The Ghost perk is an absolute no brainer. When you have the Ghost perk, you are undetectable by enemy UAVs, Radar Drones and Heartbeat Sensors. Most players go for UAV in Warzone and they quickly use this killstreak the instant they fear that someone is nearby. We recommend you always keep the Ghost perk in all of your Battle Royale custom loadouts if you wish to remain unseen during the match. As stated earlier, spotting your enemies first is extremely important as it gives you an element of surprise. Having the Ghost perk ensures that enemy players do not spot you first.
Perk 3 - Tracker
The Tracker perk leaves enemy footprints visible for a brief period of time. Oftentimes, when you are in a firefight in a building or around corners enemies will evade you and camp until you are in their line of sight, then they’ll eliminate you. However, if you have the Tracker perk on you and take notice of it, then that won’t be the case. You will be able to see exactly where the enemy player went, which will help you pre-aim in that particular location. Of course you could also lob a frag grenade in that direction too! At the end of the day choosing perks you be based on your individual play style. These perks will, however, help you survive a bit longer if used correctly. You can always use a combination of these and other perks that we have not specifically listed. The Overkill perk allows you to carry two primary weapons right from the beginning of the game when they land. You can always go for High Alert perk instead of Ghost which will give you that vision pulse, indicating that an enemy player has spotted you. Just keep in mind that the High Alert perk only works if the enemy player is within 100 meters of you!
