An anonymous user on Reddit pointed out a specific line from the public document where Bandai also celebrated Elden Ring selling 17.5 million copies, wherein it states: The company’s next fiscal year starts on March 31, 2023, and ends on March 31, 2024. This means that Tekken 8 could come out anytime between. But, given that Tekken doesn’t have what you’d refer to as a “release month”, Bandai could launch the series’ next installment during any month next year. Unfortunately, outside of the public document, Bandai hasn’t narrowed down the release window for Tekken 8, let alone given us a more specific release date. Most likely, we won’t hear more about Tekken 8 until the company’s next earnings report, which isn’t due for another quarter. Of course, Bandai could surprise us with a release date reveal at The Game Awards on December 8, but that’s highly unlikely. If we’re lucky enough to see Tekken 8 hit store shelves next year, fighting game fans can Shoryuken in joy as Street Fighter 6 is also due by then. After being confirmed earlier this year, Street Fighter 6 got a roster reveal in September. Speaking of Bandai, the company was spotted registering the trademark for what could be the next Naruto: Ultimate Ninja STORM game.
