Now, a similar listing just popped up. This time, it’s from Japanese video game developer, Atlus, and the details are getting fans excited.
What is Project Pen?
At the moment, Atlus is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Persona series. Fans are expecting the company to announce something big in December, which is exactly why “Project Pen” is generating a lot of buzz within the community. But, while some expect this to be the next Persona game in disguise, some are inclined to believe that it might be an entirely different game. For starters, while the “Project Pen” lists Sega of America as its publisher, the country of origin is listed as the USA. This is different from most Altus games that normally list its country of origin as Japan. What is also interesting is the “MA 15+” rating for the game. An “MA 15+” rating suggests that the game will have “strong violence and sexualized imagery” and “in-game purchases”. Upon checking previous Atlus titles, the last one to have the same rating as Catherine, which was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011 before being released worldwide on PC in 2019. A re-release with added content was released for the PS4 in 2019 with the Nintendo Switch port coming in 2020. At the same time, the presence of the “in-game purchases” rating suggests that the game might not be Persona 6 as recent Atlus games did not have the same description. TLDR; nobody knows exactly what “Project Pen” is. The good news here is that we won’t have to wait too long for Atlus to reveal “Project Pen”. As we’ve already mentioned, Atlus has an announcement scheduled in December. We should know more about the “Project Pen” listing by then. But, if you ask us, we guess that it’s a PS5 and Xbox Series S/X port of Catherine.
