If the rumors are to be believed, Sony and Marvel Studios are preparing to launch a third No Way Home trailer.
Is Sony and Marvel Studios going to release a third No Way Home trailer?
Normally, the marketing for an MCU film takes place months if not a year before the movie premieres. Unfortunately, a combination of several factors affected Marvel Studios and Sony’s efforts. For one, there’s the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Sony and Marvel had several other movies slated for a 2021 release as well. Case in point, Marvel Studios released Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Eternals just a few months apart. Meanwhile, Sony had to market Venom: Let There be Carnage. Having said that, it’s only fair for Marvel Studios and Sony to try and make up for their earlier efforts, or lack thereof, as we inch closer to the film’s premiere. According to a new British Board of Film Classification listing, fans should expect at least one more Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer in the coming days. The listing doesn’t specifically state when the trailer is going to drop. Furthermore, it states that the third trailer is going to be just two minutes long, which suggests that it won’t contain as many details nor information as the first two. TLDR; Marvel Studios and Sony might release a two-minute trailer for No Way Home days before it premieres, but fans shouldn’t expect anything major. Of course, while Marvel Studios and Sony probably won’t reveal much in the movie’s third trailer, who knows? The listing itself doesn’t detail what kind of content the trailer will show. Maybe it’s just a shorter version of either of the first two trailers or maybe it’s a UK-exclusive trailer. At the same time, we can’t discount the possibility that Marvel Studios and Sony will confirm the appearance of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the unconfirmed third trailer for No Way Home. If it’s any consolation, No Way Home is expected to premiere on December 15 and 17 in UK and US, respectively. Even if Sony and Marvel Studios doesn’t release a third No Way Home trailer, fans don’t have to wait too long to find out everything there is to know in the third-longest MCU film ever.
